Terms of the Allabor Website Initiative
Last updated: August 2026
1. About the Initiative
The Allabor Website Initiative is operated by Allabor, a trading name of Marta Ryall, a sole trader operating in the United Kingdom.
Each year, Allabor intends to select a small number of projects to receive a professional website created by Allabor together with one year of hosting.
There is no charge to the selected applicant for the work expressly included within the Initiative.
2. Applying
Submitting a Project Brief does not guarantee selection.
Allabor may decide how many projects to select in any year and is not obliged to select a project if no application is considered suitable.
Selection is at Allabor's discretion, taking into account the project, its stage of development, its objectives and viability, the applicant's readiness to proceed, and the difference Allabor's contribution could reasonably make.
3. Who may apply
The Initiative is intended primarily for new and early-stage projects that would benefit from establishing or improving their professional online presence.
Applicants must be authorised to submit the application and, if selected, to make or coordinate decisions concerning the project.
4. What the Initiative includes
For each selected project, Allabor will agree the scope of the website before work begins.
Depending on the project, this may include website planning and structure, responsive design, implementation of agreed content, appropriate website functionality, basic technical setup, assistance with choosing and configuring a domain name, and hosting for one year.
The exact website and functionality provided will depend on the needs of the selected project and the scope agreed with Allabor.
5. Domain names and third-party costs
The applicant is responsible for obtaining and paying for their domain name.
Allabor may assist with choosing and configuring it.
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, the applicant is also responsible for third-party costs that may be required by the project, such as paid software, licences, external platforms, payment-processing services or other services not provided directly by Allabor.
Allabor will discuss any such requirement with the applicant before committing them to a cost.
6. Content
The applicant is responsible for providing accurate information, materials and other content reasonably required to create the website.
The applicant must have the right to use any text, images, logos, trademarks or other materials they provide.
Allabor may assist with writing, editing, organising or presenting content where this forms part of the agreed project.
7. Shops, catalogues and larger collections of content
The Initiative may include an online shop, catalogue, portfolio or other structured collection where appropriate.
Where a project contains a substantial number of products, entries or other items, Allabor may create and configure the system and add an agreed initial selection or example content rather than entering the complete catalogue.
The applicant will be responsible for adding or maintaining remaining content unless otherwise agreed.
8. Working with Allabor
Selected applicants must provide information, materials, decisions and approvals reasonably required to complete the project.
Allabor will identify the principal contact for the project and may require decisions and approvals to be coordinated through that person.
Significant delays in providing required information or decisions may affect the timetable or Allabor's ability to complete the project.
9. Changes and additional work
The Initiative covers the scope agreed before work begins.
Requests that materially extend that scope may be declined, deferred, or offered as separately chargeable work.
Allabor will not undertake additional chargeable work without discussing it with the applicant first.
10. Hosting
The Initiative includes hosting for one year from the date agreed with the selected applicant.
Before the included hosting period ends, the applicant may arrange continued hosting with Allabor, move the website to another suitable provider, or make another agreed arrangement.
Continued hosting after the included year is not part of the Initiative unless separately agreed.
Hosting does not automatically include ongoing website maintenance, content updates or additional development.
11. Ownership
The applicant retains ownership of all content, trademarks, logos and other materials they provide to Allabor.
Once the agreed website has been completed and handed over, the selected applicant will own the design, written content and other work created by Allabor specifically for their project, unless otherwise agreed before the work begins.
Allabor retains ownership of any pre-existing or reusable code, tools, templates, systems, methods, components or other materials that were not created exclusively for the selected project. The applicant will have the right to use any such Allabor materials incorporated into their website as necessary for the continued use of the website.
Third-party software, fonts, plugins, images, platforms and other licensed materials remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to the applicable licence terms.
Where a third-party licence or service needs to be maintained, renewed or transferred after the Initiative ends, Allabor will explain this to the applicant.
12. Legal and regulatory requirements
The applicant remains responsible for the legality of their project, business, products, services and content.
Unless specifically included within the agreed scope, the Initiative does not mean that Allabor provides legal advice or assumes responsibility for the applicant's regulatory compliance, accessibility obligations, privacy documentation, cookie management, consumer-law requirements or other legal obligations.
Where a website requires particular compliance work, this can be discussed separately.
13. Selection is not an endorsement
Selection for the Initiative does not constitute a guarantee, certification or endorsement by Allabor of the project, its owners, products, services, claims, financial prospects or legal compliance.
Allabor relies on applicants to provide accurate information about their projects.
14. Withdrawal
An applicant may withdraw their application before selection by contacting info@allabor.org.
Allabor may withdraw an offer of support or end its participation where it becomes apparent that information supplied was materially inaccurate, the project is unlawful or presents significant reputational or legal concerns, the applicant does not cooperate sufficiently for the work to proceed, or circumstances otherwise make completion unreasonable.
Where possible, Allabor will explain its decision to the applicant.
15. Case studies
Allabor may ask selected applicants for permission to feature completed work as part of its portfolio or as a case study.
Any use of an unsuccessful application as an identifiable public example would require separate permission.
16. No guarantee of results
Allabor will provide the agreed work with reasonable care and skill, but cannot guarantee particular commercial results, visitor numbers, search-engine rankings, sales, enquiries or other outcomes from the website.
17. Changes to the Initiative
Allabor may amend, suspend or discontinue the Initiative or change these Terms for future applications.
The Terms applying to an application will be those presented when that application is submitted.
